904-068
January 30, 2009

Welcome back gang. It's been awhile.
Here, 068 is getting the final fit on the front hood and windshield.
The hood is positioned so we can get the center line to install the gas tank bib for the cap.
The gas tank is off being polished now.

The doors have been painted on the inside, but needed a final blocking on the outside.
You can see the door button has been installed with the latch to make sure all systems are cool before final paint.

It was a little cold during this process, hence the heat lamp behind Bill.
The lamps help the filler cure at a normal rate.

Block sanding reveals the lumps and bumps.
The door is cherry now and will be re-primed.

The hood has been given its final coat of dolphin gray primer
(we use this color because it is a great base for the Gunnar Racing silver paint).

Both doors and the hood are primed at the same time.
These parts will be in final paint next week and installed.
There are a lot of other things we have done to the car, but we will update in order.
This car will debut as a "special presentation" at Amelia Island in March.
