906-127
December 3, 2004
The final
pod fitting has taken place. These are the photos that show
the bottom 40 degree lip that is added to finish the body
work where it meets the side pod.
These
lips are normally on the parts from the mold, but they never
line up with each other. We cut them off and make new bottom
edges so they are straight with the side pod.
We use
a protractor to make sure the angles are all in alignment.
Porsche
did a pretty good job when they originally built the cars,
but we go one step further.
Now the
side pod is in place and the edges are finished.
Maybe
a few days of fitting the side windows and then 127 will go
to the red paint process.
The car
will be primed red first and then the final paint will be
applied.
