906-151
October 23, 2003
Here,
Andy has installed the seat belts and is trying them out.
After
two days, the new rear window fits perfectly.
The two
days consisted of grinding, grinding, and grinding.
You can't
use a saw because the Plexiglas will crack.
Then,
you install two clecos at a time because when the window comes
down flat to the body, the glass grows (sort of). It would
be impossible to drill all the holes at once unless the glass
was made to fit perfectly. This is not possible, so this is
why the proper way to fit a giant window, like the 906 has,
could take two or three days. Next, we will paint the tail
and install it on the car.
