1973 Porsche RSR (February 28, 2001)

After countless man-hours of body work on the rotisserie, the '73 RSR is now free, and being moved to a different part of the shop where it will be assembled. Here are shots from several different angles. Bill has done a beautiful job so far...

(Below) Still more to do though. The doors are in the paint booth now, being primed and sanded, in the same manner as the rest of the body. We don't have the hood yet, or the front fenders, but below you see the front fender flares which will be welded in place, just as were the rear flares a couple of updates ago. These fenders in the photo are actually fiberglass ones, but we'll be using the original steel ones on this car.

Virtually all the components for this car have already been rebuilt (remember the brake calipers?), and next week we start the gang-bang on the RSR. Assembly will progress quickly, so be sure to stop by and check us out as work progresses.
