The rear window also had to be removed. This is a fiberglass piece with a Plexiglas window, which was attached to the chassis by glue and rivets. You can see all of the little circles where the rivets lived.

Here the piece has been removed. The arrows are pointing to the seam where the window used to be.

The window piece is still whole.

This morning the first coat of primer went on.

Although painted silver, the base color of most 911 racing Porsches was Grand Prix White. We prime the car in white primer to make chips from track use less obvious.
