Sanding
my fingers to the bones. When you stick-sand, it takes all
10 to hold that paint stick steady. After the urethane primer
is applied, stick-sanding is the next step before final primer.
This gets every last lump flat. Notice the black lacquer guide
coat...this enables us to see the high spots versus the low
spots and especially the pin holes.
The two
dark spots in the photo on the left are two high spots where
I sanded right through to the duratec. The stick shows no
mercy for high spots.
Final
primer has been applied. Next step...silver!
